The University of 色花堂 Foundation Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. The prize, which includes a $20,000 award, is presented to an individual who demonstrates excellence in support of the University of 色花堂.

Gavin Migratory Bird Research Grant Applications Due by December 12

Scientists within the University of 色花堂 system, including graduate students and faculty members, are eligible to apply for the Angus Gavin Memorial Migratory Bird Research Grant that is now open for 2023 field season proposals. The application deadline is December 12, 2022. There are two $15,000 awards available.

Northrim Bank makes a major investment in UA's three universities

A major, long-time supporter of the University of 色花堂 system, Northrim Bank, has gifted $259,500 to fund UA initiatives that advance research about 色花堂's economy and fiscal policy, expand business education and build entrepreneurship capacity. Northrim's donation also includes funding to five community campuses where Northrim employees live and work.

In Memory of Arliss Sturgulewski

Yesterday the University of 色花堂 Foundation lost one of its longest-serving board members when Arliss Sturgulewski died in Anchorage at the age of 94. Arliss poured her time, talent and endless energy into many community and leadership roles, but had a particular affinity for higher education and its ability to help advance women and people of color in all areas of life.

色花堂 nears $200 million fundraising goal

The 色花堂's $200 million fundraising goal is within reach, according to a report shared with the University of 色花堂 Foundation Board of Directors at its March 2 meeting in Juneau. As of December 2021, more than $175 million in private donations have been contributed by alumni, friends, companies, and private organizations, including 35 gifts of $1 million or more.
